Monster project finally came to shape with 2 days of brainstorming and hard labour. it’s even more scary on how my sps wil take this transformation. LPS just scattered around. Need to get them organised in a day or two.

Thanks bro, the idea is to have better water flow around the coral base, I used the my old tank love rocks to mount the Tonga rocks that cycled for Long period

Aquaforest stone fix

Rock scape using aquaforest stone fix. It’s considered better than epoxy if you are looking at long term.

0735fea0afa964578606f29f840a9a19.jpg

It’s recommended to keep the rock dry at the area where you apply. As I need to fix it on to live rocks I kept spraying some tank water every 10-15 mins on to the rest of the rock to keep the rock moist and reduce major die off of bacteria/coralline algae.
Aquaforest says Stone fix stets off in 15 mins, but it really depends on the qty we apply and the weight of the rocks we use, most importantly is to have right consistency of the mix. Doing 2-3 trials will really help. In my case it took around 1.5 to 2 hrs to set where I can move the rock into the tank.

Below is the consistency mix for branching rock scape, need to provide some support for the rock until it sets

77f178b649b03868ad35e675495836b5.jpg

I used it under water as well, with right consistency it set well in 2-3 hrs . Need make sure we make the mix is as thick as possible and only apply to stones that stand by themselves. It can get slightly messy under water but not a major problem if consistency is right and you use your hand to Ensure you apply at right spot.

I don’t recommend stonefix under water for branching type or unstable rock that don’t stand by itself.

Please also look into the recommended amounts of usage per day.

Over all the product worked great for me. Below is link from aquaforest stone fix

If anyone interested I can share a post on how to use stone fix in right amounts.
