hi experts,as we all noe,a W.I. stand is cheap and effective, abeit a little ugly.it tends to rust veryu very quickly.i noe reefez rid rust works, but after only rust appear.the question is,can i coat something over the W.I. stand to rustproof it?thanx

Try to apply

1st coat : Primer (hope i got the correct spelling) red liquid,

2nd coat : Epoxy Paint ( i think it cost $12.00 per 125ml )

If you take care of the stand and oil it often i think it should last years.

Bro,

First you rid off the rough surface of rust with ssnd paper.(Can don,t sand also)

Then you can just apply a layer or two of the rust convertor. This actually convert the rust back to metal and prevent future rusting.

Lastly paint back to your stand original color.
