BTA become long tentacles anemone

hi bro,

Me just bought a BTA from farmart last weekend. It is a BTA but when i got home, the BTA open up and become long tentacles anemone...

It open till very big....Just curious what happen?

It is sticking well on one of my rock. It open very big and beautiful, but just that the bubble tip become long tentacles ...

I am using 1X18W FL light and 1X25W PL light...

Can anyone advice me?

not an anemone guy...so very little exp with this animal, is it streching out for more light....I thought anemone needs strong lighting as well....FL and 1 PL might not be enough...how big or how deep is your tank?

My Red BTA also become long tentacles. I am not sure why. I read that under strong lights they should develop bubble tips. Isn't 250W MH strong?

My is a 1.5ft height tank, i place it on a rock, when it open up, it is near to the water surface... But if the light light is not enough, how come it still open big and beautiful?

But see this brown BTA. It does show the bubble tip and tentacles are short So I think it depends on the anemone.

mine looks like this...another one on the other side of the tank does not have such bloated properties....

Interesting Roidan.... especially the one that has 2 parts, one part showing bubble tip, one part that did not.

Can't be lights and current right? Then I am not sure already. Oh maybe got some other corals near it??
