Any problems with E60 530 or W211 E320?

Need to replace old car. Kinda interested in one of the abovementioned. Want to know if there are any problems with the build quality or local horror stories. Dedicated car forums don't always give you the whole picture due to bias.

Performance Motor has 2 in stock. One blue with standard equipment and one black with 13K of extra stuff like DSC, speakers, etc, but you may 13K more naturally.

between the 2, i would say go for the black....

black 530 is sleek and fierce....but if already have the budget for it...another 13k is a small percentage of the tag.....bite the bullet...go for it....squeeze the agent for a better price...

although layman opinions always feel that beemers have a worse track record in singapore than the merc....in terms of engine catching fire out of the blue ,m3 reversing into the brick wall of embassy....and so on...

but....530 for me anytime over the e320....

are these the new 5 series you guys are talking about? I don't know about you, but when I took one for a test drive recently, I found that I can't really see the rear properly, due to the high nature of the boot.

yeap..most cars nowadays have pretty bad back views..but wat the heck...rely more on the reverse sensors lor...as long as there is a wall to feedback the sensors....

if there is a pole...then really have to base on own judgement liao...

if u think the 530 is bad ..wait till u test drive the rx300...totally no sense of what is behind...even a sec school kid walking behind also cannot see

I don't trust reverse sensors. my ex-gf trusted them so much, she reversed into a wall. I only use it when I'm doing parallel or backing up to a wall. but with caution.

yah. I notice most cars nowadays have high backsides. I think because the car designers figured that we look infront more often than the back itself. hur.
