Skimmer Mods to Macro Skimmer

Did some changes to a macro skimmer cos could get the needle wheel version here.

Removed the venturi and use a Hailea 6530 pump modified with needle wheel to provide the bubble.

Here's the results.

get about 1 1/2 mineral bottle of skimmate every 4 days.

Trying to get smaller bobbles.

The water level is below the black ring at the 6inch tube. when I move it to the base of the taper area, the foam is so much that the bottle is filled with light skimate (green tea) in like 2 hrs.

Now still playing around with the setting of water level and air input. Discovered that the air input make alot of difference in the results. too much air and the size of the bubble is bigger and water flow is slower. too little air and the bubbles are very fine but water flow is very fast and less bubbles. so still trying to get the best combination.

Any bros got any suggestion to get better results? setting tips? etc. noticed that though the bubbles are fine in the chamber, when they reach the top. they get bigger. like in the last two pics.

have u tried increase of pump pressure? by using a more powerful pump?

u can also control the water intake by adding a ball valve to your pump....remember its the intake of your pump...so fine tun by adjusting the water and air intake simultaneously until u get your perfect espresson skimmate loh

about the bubbles being finer at the top, u can try to point the output upwards....if u understand wat i mean....

Nice simple mod yet attaining good results......3 cheers for Tanggy.........Where can purchase the needle wheel to mod into the pump? You have an extra needle wheel to sell me?
