I'm selling my white xenias.

A is about 5 stalks (I don't know how you call it). Selling for 35 bucks

B is about 3 stalks. Selling for 25 bucks.

i notice lots of Xenia after putting into the tank, or even at LFS/Farms r not pumping... dunno wats causes it...

I use to have those brown Xenia... after putting into my tank for few days ...stop pumping liao

Hihi, the direct link doesn't work. so u need to go to Reef central website then click on RK mag button, click on the pic when loaded. Next click on the past issues button. They have an article on Xenia but they still don't know the reason why Xenia pulsate.

IMO, becareful when they stop pulsating, look out for meltdown. My Xenia almost melt after it stops. maybe it is temperature.

BTW, mine has stop pulsing for months but still no meltdown. Temperature ok 26C. Maybe the current too strong. Can't find a place in my tank where current is not so strong

Mine pulses even around 29 degrees celcius these few days. If I'm not wrong I read somewhere that a higher pH is recommended for xenias to retain their ability to pulse.

your xenia is your ph indicator....chances are if they are not pumping, the ph of the tank could have dropped....bro...wan to do a test of your ph and see?

my xenias were pumping sluggishly and cookiemunster gave me some advice to raise the ph level...eversince then..no problem

I read from somewhere that xenia pump more if the water does not have sufficient oxygen or not much current.

I keep it at 8 plus...use reef buffer...should be able to keep it ard 8.3

My pH as of now with only actinics on is 8.2. I'm sure it's at least 8.4 when my MH is on. Still the xenia don't pump.

mine were not pumping initially. now they r doing well. both the white and the yellow ones.

bro scarab, i got the denitrator today....... but it leaks....... changing a new one 2 moro....... but seems like they out of stock at the moment....... @#$#

2 maximas (teardrop and blue) and the derasa died on me too........ dunno what is wrong....... maybe it is b coz of the rockscaping i did the other day due to rockslide.
