SRC Member Hairul Hakim Posted August 18, 2018 Author SRC Member Share Posted August 18, 2018 Hahaha yeah guys. Since I opted out using a cr and implement a dosing system instead, wanted to get as much space as I can for sump. Hopefully my plan to corporate the dosing pump from the bomb shelter just behind the tank works well. If not, 5l containers it is. SRC Member Hairul Hakim Posted November 17, 2018 Author SRC Member Share Posted November 17, 2018 Finally have some time to head out and get some fishes. Tank was cycling for about 2 months. Finally put the lights on, collected my frags from my previous tank, that was kept by a friend when I shifted. Now can see a bit of colors and fish swimming. Gonna do a slow one on stocking up this tank. Still need to hook up the dosing system Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

SRC Member Hairul Hakim Posted September 17, 2019 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 17, 2019 Had a restart to the tank due to a leak in plumbing and a velvet breakout as well..lost all fish except one. Sighs. Anyway, tank is back up again and cycling. Cycling process using dr Tim's ammonium chloride for fish less cycling. SRC Member Hairul Hakim Posted September 17, 2019 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 17, 2019 Made some changes to some equipment. Currently Lighting Aquatic life 4feet+2 hydras NON hd Return pump Maxaspect turbine duo 12k at 60%WavemakerXf350 combo, 1 per side, running ltc at 50% Deltec sc2060 skimmer Deltec reactor running AF carbon+po4 minus American pinpoint PH monitor Hs 90a for chiller, fed with a 1800l/hr, kept at 26 deg. Fuge running chaeto 12 hours a day opposite light cycle of display. Big3 are added via bubble magus bm t01 dosing pump, using AF balling method. Never had any long term success with pure sps reef due to either tank disasters or albeit, personal ones. HeheAny inputs/recommendations for changes/scrutinizes are welcome for me to tinker on. SRC Member sleexox Posted September 17, 2019 SRC Member Share Posted September 17, 2019 oh no, so sorry for the loss of your fishes and the leak. would the 1/2 hp chiller be sufficient for a tank of that size ?
SRC Member Hairul Hakim Posted September 18, 2019 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 18, 2019 Takes about 40mins to chill. Off for about 2.5 hours. Calculated the costs before using those digital timer plugs. Costs comes to about $35/mth. Something that I gotta live with as I dont want to do hacking if I 2wanna install a compressor. SRC Member Hairul Hakim Posted February 26, 2020 Author SRC Member Share Posted February 26, 2020 Been a long update to the reef log since been tinkering a bit. Added some new equipment and using AF zeostones as well. Though too effective it seems. Finally mounted my sps frags in December. Seeing some growth now. Started in january 2020. Started AF ABVE, 4 drops alternate regimen. 120ml per day AF balling system. Dosing AF traces around 2-4 drops daily depending on which element ( about to do icp test soon hopefully. Currently just dripping from observing sps colouration). All seems to be good but cant seems to hold the red. SRC Member Hairul Hakim Posted February 26, 2020 Author SRC Member Share Posted February 26, 2020 Late December to mid feb growth rate. Quite good growth from a few of the common pieces. Hopefully this continues. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
