Calcium Reactor

I was just wondering if it is really importain to see in side the calcium reactor.

Is it for looks?

Is it so that you would know when to change the media?

Is there an approx time say a month or so that you know have to change the media without looking and it?

I've seen some DIY where it's totally covered. It would be alot cheaper that way.

need not. if u use clear pvc it will grow algae IMO juz need a opening to put in the media, and can be easily disassmeble for cleaning or clear any clogging. my 2cts

Having a clear body can help you see if you get clogged media, excess CO2 bubbles trapped inside or just to check how much you need to top up.

Ya, based on his OFB which he handles orders in batches of 10......I'm no 2 ok

ya actually designing a calcium reactor out of acrylic. Not round cause the price is too high!!! Might as well buy ready made one.

It's gonna be double chamber and from the top it's square in shape. Still in planning stage. Busy doing OFB at the moment.

Looked at many designs overseas which work and slowly putting them together.

Will keep you all informed!
