i think AT is using Ocean Runner (??) it's not pressure-rated and 6000-6500 l/h should be gd enuf for my skimmer, i think i want the pump to be submerged also, hardly any pressure-rated pumps, and also $$$

I might like to consider this option too..... Iwaki's might be a little too ex and power consumptions too high!!!...

yup,

from my FW experience, Resun is a common brand/well accepted in the market. Either their water pump or air pump are highly popular...

i guess Yi/Qian Hu should carry them as they are the main player in the FW market

alternatively u can try this one. only 5000L but run at 60w with magnetic rotor. i'm using the 2500 model for my return. IMO it's quieter than hailea 6540 i bought it from lor halus L35D, morgan, rumor and dodo were there at that time

I have never used Resun products, actually... not any chinese/taiwanese products as they tend to be of lower quality.

My previous pump was a Rena pump. French I believe. Powerful pump.

Hon, Alvy did mentioned about the Iwaki lookalike.... I think it MR 55...

I called up a few LFS and all told me that theres no such model....

will be finding more infor about the 1.5, 2 and 3 HP Chillers....

The resun md55 (iwaki clone) has not been brought into Singapore for a long time already.

I met the supplier and he told me there is no demand, so they stopped bringing it in.

esp when u use beckett, which actually is a multi-venturi points device

1130 gallon should be equilavent to more than 4000 ls.......
