stormrider
I had a sun burst anthias for 3-4 months, shown no interest in pellets even when it was starved for days.
SRC Member JiaEn Posted July 15, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted July 15, 2018 In my experience, Randall's anthias takes pellet readily. But what matters most is the size of the pellet, as well as the odour. So far, my pellet eating anthias are: evansi, carberryi, borbonious, Tuka and pascalus pecks at pellets. But they are too small for me to be 100% sure.
SRC Member Uask4it Posted July 15, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted July 15, 2018 My 2pcs of Sunburst Anthias take only Mysis Shrimp, not interested in dry food.
Solo77
Purple queen is one of the hardest. Sunburst, sunset , etc are shy type and are hard unless tank dont have agressive fish. Barlett, blue eye, etc are almost always ready for pellet. Issue is pellets sink but flakes overflow. Flakes generally dirty an aquarium faster.Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app Randall's yes. The rest need to entice them first with mysis, pod, fish egg etc. If they starve too much before eating pellet then it may be too late. SRC Member sfx Posted December 27, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted December 27, 2018 My blue eyed anthias ate TDO C1 pellets readily... when i bought them they werent feeding on pellets.... point to note, anthias have very small mouths, so they need very small pellets... C1 size is the smallest available pellet size i thinkSent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
SRC Supporter Harlequinmania Posted December 28, 2018 SRC Supporter Share Posted December 28, 2018 Anthias need to be feed often , at least 3 time a day.. maybe installing a auto feeder will be good to automate the feeding Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app Quote 1000 Gallon Tank in the Hole http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/topic/120957-1000-gallon-3d-hole-in-the-wall/
