Any other fellow keepers having this beautiful pistol? Maybe can discuss the behavior of this species? I've had mine for about 1 month (can't remember really)....it does not have a burrow but roams about the tank like a reef lobster. Today I came home shocked to find my cleaner shrimp (been with me for many months) being feasted on by the pistol shrimp. Its legs were gone. Other shrimps, crabs and fish are unharmed. Just wondering whether this could be an isolated incident or whether it could be an intentional attack? Maybe the cleaner shrimp went too close to the pistol and in self defence the pistol killed it? Not to waste resources the pistol fed on the shrimp? I don't really notice it going after anything..not even small shrimp gobies that try to build a relationship dangerous within striking range from it (it fails cause the shrimp is a solitary species). Anyone can share experiences?

Always something more important than fish.
