Salt top up for cooling fan tanks

I'm currently using a cooling fan system instead of a chiller, but I realised that evaporation is a pretty common concern. Do I have to top up salt also, or just freshwater to the original level? If I have to top up salt pretty much everyday, kind of costly in the long run also. Thanks:)

I see, thx a lot:) But if that is the case, why don't more people use fans instead of chillers? The costs seem much lower overall

For nano tank, daily top off is possible. Fan may reduce 2-3degrees.

For larger tank, it will be too much to do water top off and fan will no longer be effective.

Water may splash on fan causing electricity shock.

This.. +1

The evaporation rate is high for large tank.. imagine if they install fan..

Also using chiller will keep ur temp steady at +-2 deg..

Actually some salt is removed too. Over time, u will notice a layer of salt covering things like lights and the fan itself. This is also another reason why chiller is preferable.

Won't it re-dissolve in the freshwater?
