I doubt so..put one into my tank with 1cm shrimps swimming around and I'm pretty sure they would be gone sooner or later. From the way they swim and the shape of their mouth it's pretty obvious they are carnivorous. Maybe they won't attack bigger shrimps like skunk shrimps or blood shrimps..but anything smaller than ###### shrimps would have to be treated with caution.

he is well behaved and just eat whatever i feed my fishes....

his mouth is like a vacuum cleaner, every time he covers the egg sacs with his mouth, the next moment, all the egg sacs gone...
