MY tank!!!

hellooz.... finally my tank more or less settled.....

thanks to all who PM for offers for my Resun MD55.... wow.... u won;t believe the numbers of offers i get....

anyway.... here are the pics.... managed to reduce the power of the pump by reducing the amount of water going into the pump...

best of all... can u see the little mantis at the last compartment of the i-ref?? its like at the bottom left of the last compartment....

i knew there was a mantis amongst my life rocks... but when i picked the smallest rock from the main tank to dump in refugium.... guess what.... the lil critter is on it.... talk about luck manz.... hee hee...

tank: 5ft long by 2 ft wide by 3ft high. (12mm glass on side, 20mm glass for the bottom) (btw... the tank is a gift from my uncle) with 90 kg of sand and 30 kg of Fiji LRs

witha 3ft sump and a 2ft i-ref with 10 kg of sand inside.

skimmer: H&S Skimmer rated for 850l internal

lights: 2 MH 250W and 2 4ft PL Artinic

return pump: Resun MD 55

Chiller: Akan Datang

Parameters: not tested yet as today is counted day 1 of cycling.

Guys, those 'washing machine' hoses are not that good at reducing head loss, in fact it adds to it. All that ridges will cause turbulence and cause more resistance to good water flow. Smooth PVC pipes are the best but its hard to find hard PVC hoses in SG.

added a huge refuge outside my house.....

juz fixed all the pipes and now packing it up.... drills and stuff....

refugium is 130cm cube....

with about slightly less than 1 feet of grade '1' sand.....

an about another feet of water.....

trying to get some 'sea grass'.... thats why i using 1 feet of sand.... need room for the roots to grow.... waiting for it come....
