My CL-280 just enough to cool my 2X1.5X1.5 tank and 2X1.5x1.5 sump to 27.5C. I am only using PL light.

So I think you should go for CL-650 since you are using MH also

my CL300 could support my 2'x2'x2' at 26 deg cel without much problem. in fact, it only turns on for less than 15 mins every 1 hour during hot season like now. During end of the year, it runs less than 10 mins for every 3~4 hours....

Can I check if resun are still as noisy as before? Apparently, the newer model will be better, juz need to know actual field experience.

dunno....i'm still using the old model....can be quite nosiy...but heck, I don't sleep in the hall.....8)

anyway brought my CL-280 for S$299...so can't complaint

Yeah chillers are a big chunck... I'm using a CL 650 new batch that I got last week and I'm quite happy... I woudn't know how the noise compares to other brands. Let's say I would not want to sleep with it in my room, the noise is a bit like a not so new aircon. but the noise is an air noise: "shoooo"; not any mechanical noise like clicking fan or motor (Not yet... I guess that we will know in the long run)

My tank is 4x1.5x1.5. I overdimesioned because I want to add a MH and sump in the near future.

Currently is working less than ten minutes an hour I beleive, but my pump flowrate is too low.

CL300 not much different from CL280...1/10 HP. why not try CL450, at least 1/6HP?

Hi all bros,sorry for the hijack, Im intend to get CL450 for my 3X2X2 maintank and 2.5X1.5X1.5 sump tank,would like to find out sufficent for above mention size?

Im not using mh but 4X 30W dymax T5 light cos keeping soft coral only

Btw anyone know the spec of CL450 like whats the max volume of water can support n what flowrate pump should i get?
