imagine having a very big fan ( those for blowing the dogs dry) blowing direct at yr chiller

will that help a lot?

pls advice

but must make sure the blow direction isn't recirculating the hot exhaust air back to the air intake of the chiller...

direct it in a way that the hot air is blown as far as possible...hehe

actually i had the thought of stripping the black cover of my teco as well and then blow the fan directly at the chiller internals itself...

but i remember last time during thermodynamics labwork, i had to read off temperature and humidity readings off different parts of the aircon unit, from the compressor, condensor, evaporator....and so on...and actually there is a need for the hot parts to be hot and cool parts to be cool....the specifics i forget liao...i am sure some bros here will remember....

so by blowing indiscriminately at the internals...i may be affecting the process also...

so i guess the best way is to improve cold air draw into the chiller and improve hot exhaust air out of the chiller....

or, just get a higher hp chiller

ya max,

i also suggest that the bathroom be ventilated as much as possible to prevent the exhaust temperature from affecting the airdraw input as much as possible...

i suggest him to put those bathroom exhaust fan at the small window to blow air out of the bathroom....just like what you suggest using the air duct to blow the hot air out....i think this will reduce runtime as well as maximise cooling per unit time due to a better temperature differential....

as the fan will blow warm air out and yet draw in cooler air from the house interior...

i think the fan at the window panel might be more tidylooking for hon than the airduct coil...hehe

hehe....just a theoretical suggestion, dunno if really works in practical applications or not.... :P

Hi Rodian thks for advise. The fan built into the Arctica running at 16W is more powerful than yr large size table fan. U can feel the air blows fts away. So installation a aluminium foil duct to direct the air out is no issue. You do not need to waste money on a high wattage exhaust fan. B)

should have no problems lah....

afterall, can get aftersales service readily one mah.. ;)

if i want to upgrade my chiller, will also try the artica 1hp if the price isn't too far off from a teco RA2000...hehe ;)

worth a try, teco has been so long around with a reasonable reputation that is boring already, time for more competitors to enter the market...

artica seems like a good bet :D

The exhaust fan in the chiller is indeed powerful. Believe can blow right across your living room..h.a.ha.h. The ventilation of this chiller is really good, guess this make it very efficient.

hehe...

now can tell hon and his wife to stand in front of the artica exhaust fan to dry hair liao....save more electricity and can gently open up ###### pores prior to cleansing and toning instead of those steaming facials :P

but seriously, i am glad to see this chiller around....if i am not wrong, bro blenny had been looking for it also...wonder has he gotten his....if not...maybe you can link up with him :)

Hey bro, suggest you consider before getting the 1HP Arctica. From the spec, the exhaust fan is 100watt, its going to blow like your multi-split unit aircon..... You need to install that outside the house liao...
