SRC Member nuclear_fibre Posted June 30, 2018 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 30, 2018 I have 1 digital one. But it always gives me reading 1.021 or 1.020. Hi Equiox are u also using the digital refractometer from Ice Cap? I tried mine and it shows 1.022 altho my optical refractometer shows 1.025. I bought it for around 80 USD if I didn’t recall wrongly! It is quite a popular product and has to be pre-ordered online Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

How you manage NO3?Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk Hi Mike thanks for the kind compliments! This reef is still a work in progress. I dose the standard big 3 by dosing pump only. In addition to that, I also dose Red Sea Reef Energy and Polyplab products, however these are done only occasionally about once a week or fortnight and at half recommended dosage. I have quite a few fishes actually. About 8-10? Maybe they were just hiding when pictures were taken... I do water changes and have a chaeto reactor to help with nutrient export Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

SRC Member nuclear_fibre Posted July 1, 2018 Author SRC Member Share Posted July 1, 2018 Did a water parameter check yesterday and here are the findings: MG- 1400CA- 490KH- 6.9PO4- 0.00NO3- 0.5Guess I have to tune down the dosing of the calcium and magnesium. Also water is perhaps too Low nutrient these days which explains why my chaeto in the reactor is not growing very well...
