Rocks turning orangey brown

ive started to realised my rocks are turning very orangey brown compared to when i first bought them. What is happening?Is this a good/ bad sign? Cus my tank is still fairly new probably about 1-2 week old

Yup let it be, It will burn go away by itself. Usually caused by silicates in new sand, once the silicates deplete, so does the diatom.

Alright:) but would it be better if i brush it off and do a water change?
Becus i think its starting to get onto my sand jus small little specs here n thr on the sand dats orangey brown

Well. It’s normal to see in new tank. It took more than 3 months for me to figured out till I changed from tap water to RO water.

I believe they are diatoms u should prolly jus ignore them and they will actually go away soon!

Normal. Er.. ur scooter blenny needs pods. Shld only add it after u seed the tank with pods. And u will definitely need more rocks than that to sustain 1.

how soon usually? and if there is a 2nd bloom?

tank is 6 months old. had the 1st bloom around 2 months old and now a 2nd one. previously using NSW to WC but has since changed to RO/DI with red sea coral pro saltmix. my rocks are covered in purple while the sand is a horrendous brownish

you can run rowaphos they remove phosphate and silicate which helps.

thank you. i used the poly filter now and phosguard as well. PO4 is reduced greatly but i dont have test for silicate.
