I have a tree coral and found some snails always attached to it. After I removed them away, they still come back for the tree coral. These snails are white with round patches of brown color and looks like having some spines. what are these snails and do they eat tree corals?

some snails like narsarius are scavengers and will attack a clam that

is already weak and dying.

they will leave healthy ones alone.

IMHO, you might wanna look at your water parems and tank specs.

is your lighting strong enough? water circulation? is it healthy overall?

;)

nutrafin cycle is supposedly able to speed up the cycling of a new tank by adding denitrifying bacteria,

in a cycled matured tank, its kinda wasting money.

what skimmer are you running?

a good one will skim out the DOCs quickly, although if

if your N02 is high, you might wanna do a small water change...maybe 10-20%,

large water changes are for emergencies and might affect otherwise

healthy livestock.

your tank should be able to handle small spikes of N02.

but you might still wanna do water changes to reduce N03 :P

I have a couple of ceriths that will attached itself to the byssal of the clams, I will usually give them a one way ticket to the loo. ;)

Anyway, I have read somewhere that snails, worms and crab are some critters that may attack and kill clams.

I believe one of my crocea went this way.
