Spade,

Something's wrong with the white balance of your camera. All the shots looks like hallucinations. Very purple sand.

As requested....Pictures....

My Bare tank..........

Hi Phang,

saw your eggcrates , very impressive and defintitely save up a lot of rock work. I'll like to have a few question.

1) How do you tie the different parts together?

2) notice that there is no base on the bottom, wouldn't the thing give way if its too heavy?

3) also notice some sharp edges by the side, what you intend to do with it so that fishes will not get cut?

Dino, thanks for the compliment....

The designing of eggcrates are easy... use lots of cable ties to enforce the pieces to gether... recommend that every plate is placed perpendicular to each other for reinforcement.. and you should have a really strong structure...

My diffusers rest on many support plates at the bottom so as to distribute the weight of the LR evenly withour cracking the bottom glass..... it works too to support the weight of the liverocks without crashing..... one point to take note too is well sand is filled in will only assist in the stabilising of the whole structure....

cut off the sharp edges before you use the crates....but franbkly nor much fishes would bury themselve that deep...... :)
