Inverter Aircon (Drop in coil) ?

Hey guys, I'm new here, just wondering isit possible to use inverter aircon for drop in coil?
From my research is not possible at the moment, any peeps here can shed some lights ?

Not impossible but if inverter outdoor unit works differently . It's not on and off like normal outdoor unit. If you trying to safe electricity with inverter outdoor unit on reef tank is not justifiable because it won't continuously for more than 1 hours.... usually for big tank also 20 to 40 mins then stop for 2 to 4 hours. Thus useless to invest in inverter pwm controller for that.

As I work in the field of engineering which deals with cooling equipment, from my understanding, actually inverter aircon do also stop when it reaches a set temperature, the actual differences comes from the throttling and variable speeds thus savings electricity. (Do correct me if I'm wrong as I'm looking to learn from you guys  )!

Non inverter: Throttle at full speed 100% from initial start up to reach set temp and stop once temp is reached. Doesn't have variable speed. (This process consume most electric in the process) 

Inverter: (Variable speed) Slow initial start up. (Start up slow) pulling small amount of amps and slowly built up speed and capacity thus having a great savings on electric.

Yeah buat running in 20 to 40 mins ... do you think inverter will safe electricity? I doubt it.So that application is not so effective in for aquarium cooling. And you are unable to use ordinary digital thermostat inverter outdoor unit.
