Missing cleaner shrimp

I bought a cleaner shrimp last month and I only saw it in the tank for two days and now its missing. Do you guys think its dead cause its not even out for food.

i don think it is dead but normally it will come out after a few days

Did you acclimatice it? Very likely "up the lorry" already!

Give it a few more days and observe, it may have gone into hiding. They hide after they moult.

If still nothing, then chances are its dead. Cleaner shrimps should usually be found in the open and easily spotted rather than hiding.

Thanks all for the replies. Anyway, the tank inhabitants are, clarkie clown, a domino damsel and a yellow tail damsel. I've a strong feeling that the shrimp is dead and the remains eaten by the crab hiding in the rocks.
