SRC Member VanquishJ Posted January 4, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted January 4, 2018 Noob here but maybe,1. Tank not cycled well.2. Iodine level are too Low. 3. Tank too clean for them to survive. Let’s see what the old birds have to say. Hehe. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

SRC Member jksn_ Posted January 5, 2018 Author SRC Member Share Posted January 5, 2018 Appreciate the input guys! Ididnt acclimate it cause the lfs guy said for xenia it isnt really needed, yea im kinda thinking maybe the tanks too clean but then i had a few snails that died inside too, 4 astrea snails but for the snails i think its cause of starvation?? I has feeding the tank a few pellets every other day tho.Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

SRC Member reefbuilder Posted January 6, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted January 6, 2018 Pulsing Xenia do not travel well and is sensitive to high temperature. So once purchased should head home asap. Especially do not allow temp in bag to go up too much (happens when left too long in bag and exposed to weather), Needless to say you tank should heave a chiller for xenia.

Got another xenia, unfortunately the first one really didnt make it, the 2nd xenia frag is doing very well! Did a water change first then acclimated for a good 2 hours before putting it in the tank. It opened up right away!I guess acclimating anything alive wil be a good rile of thumb. Thanks for everyones help! Happy reefing! 🤙🏼Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
