SRC Member Jairus Posted November 27, 2017 SRC Member Share Posted November 27, 2017 could be receding already.. could dip it in iodine but at this state, might not be able to save it

SRC Member inwear Posted November 27, 2017 SRC Member Share Posted November 27, 2017 It may be caused by your strong lighting . Do place it under a shaded area for a start

SRC Supporter SubzeroLT Posted November 28, 2017 SRC Supporter Share Posted November 28, 2017 Suspect its bleaching as the others mentioned. I'd put it in a very shaded area & try to feed it occasionally at night since it has little zooxanthellae to 'feed itself'. That's a powerful light you have there. What's your light setting like? SRC Supporter SubzeroLT Posted November 28, 2017 SRC Supporter Share Posted November 28, 2017 I have the 160w version & found the preset mode much too strong for my tank. Do play around with the program settings. More blue & less whites which will be less harsh. Play around with lighting hours as well. Else, borrow/rent PAR meter to measure. They will do will in ~ 50 PAR levels. https://www.tidalgardens.com/red-blastomussa-merletti.html Quote Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/mysliceofnature/

SRC Supporter SubzeroLT Posted November 28, 2017 SRC Supporter Share Posted November 28, 2017 Oops, mine is the Maxpect Razor 160W (just noticed yours is the new R5 model). But in general, it was in the 80-90% blue. 30-60% whites. I would suggest browsing in forums & facebook product/group pages for reference settings.
