Hosting on carpet anemone

I know that clown fish do not necessary need an anemone to host. I just buy a carpet anemone to host my tomato clown. But how does i know whether the tomato like it or not ? Does it takes time before the tomato is willing to host on the carpet anemone ?

IMO any anemone would be so much better off acting as host for clown rather than carpet anemone coz small fishes r very likely ended up being their food ;)

Yap, have already read that up when seaching for carpet anemone !! Have taken out the anemone. Really think have save all the LS in my tank after investing so much time, money and effort if only to see it CRASH !

But the main concern is that i'm scare that all my zoos, clown goby and sea star end up eaten !!

What i can say is my act of impulsiveness !

kept one for almost a year already... clown fishes like it a lot... immediately host... no problems for me.

i had 5 clowns (3 true, 1 tomato, 1 fire) when my carpet was ard, none hosted it. all i can say is each individual's tank has it's own characteristics...... :)

last time my african clown dont host in the bta i have for him,after the BTA moves around for like 3mths,the african clown starts slp in there till now like 6mths already..

maybe the clown and the anemone need to develop some "feeling" :)
