when mix salt water

hi..

i wonder when we mix salt water to do water change,

do we prepare tap water,leave it over night than the nxt day mix salt into it,leave it over another night than mix it into the tank,

(2 over nights)

or

we use fresh tap water and mix salt with it.. after mixing it,leave it over night and use it tml..(1 over night)

I will normally add Se*ch*m Prime to the prepared mixture then leave it for 24 hours before adding to the tank. But i guess any other brand of chloramine removal works too... do the same way for my topping up of water too, leave another bucket of water and dose with prime and leave it there until i need to use it. Jus my own experience. :)

addition of chlorine will automatically produce chloramine due to the reaction between chlorine and some otehr substace which I cannot remember, that is present in the water.

Dunno whether this helps, i use this long tube thingy with different medium inside and its suppose to di-ionised PUB water. After running through it, i mix with salt, and other mixtures, leave for awhile (preferably overnight) before i fill-up my thank. All my stuffs in tank appears to be ok :D
