Difference between Live Rocks

Just realised that I have been slack in my duties to maintain a forum where every thread has a properly titled description so that future searches by reefers will get faster & better results. ;)

And to answer you:

The ones from Figi are usually the ones made from the remains of staghorn-type hard corals. These are usually branching in form so they are best used for upper rockscaping but can be surprisingly quite heavy & dense inspite of a lack of mass.

The 'normal' ones from around the region are usually rounder in shape and can be both dense or porous. These can come as really huge pieces so they make excellent base rock.
