Fw dips for mushroom and zoas

Hi experienced reefers,

I just bought my first.coral which is a mushroom coral .

I have dipped it in rodi water for 1 min.. so i was wondering wads the maximum duration for it actually? Whether 1 min is enuf?

And how long to dip zoas for? As i would look to buy zoas soon.

Currently will be keeping my corals in a qt tank

My coral qt tank currently only have a hang on filter, led light.

Do i need a wave maker?

Any advice would be appreciated on how i can improve my coral qt

Freshwater dip for coral can be stressful to the corals and might now be as effective to remove pest . Best is use a coral dip design for coral. A wave maker is good to have but for mushroom is not really necessary imo

Dont fresh water dip is too stressful for coral as ph and kh different. Use coral dip just shake the water a little and pest will drop off
