Kim,

Look at the Atman display and see if the "set" LED is on. If the "set" LED is on, it means it is in the setup mode and currently you are setting the temperature to be 25 degrees. However, you have not saved your setting yet. You need to press "set" again for it the chiller to start working.

BTW, how you setup your chiller pump also makes a difference. If all the cool water is in one chamber of the sump and where the chiller pump is, and keep cycling through the chiller without going into the main tank, it is technically possible for the sump to be 25 degress but the tank is still 29 degrees.

Cheers,

Patrick

the temp i set is 21 degree, the temp shown at the beginning is 25 degree but the actual temp is 29 degree cos its the normal temp for my tank without chilling.

Is there a reason why you set your temperature to 21 degrees? Isn't this too cold for reef?

As for the temperature, I think you don't need a thermometer. You can probably tell which one is correct by sticking your fingers into the water. 25 degress the water is quite chill, whereas 29 degrees, the water is a little luke warm.

So if what you said is right that assuming all your setup is correct, then it is either your thermometer is faulty or your chiller is.

Cheers,

Patrick

Hi KIM,

I agree with Patrick. U sld trust the temp on the chiller. My temp also reads like that. I always double check by feeling the water in the tank. It is usu. cool to touch, as compared to the eternal env. Thermometers are never 100% accurate. Cheers.

There is something wrong wif my ATMAN CHILLER.

My tank temp is 29 degree but my chiller shown 25 only.i tink there something wrong wif it themometer inside.

Can someone help PLS...

The upper is the inlet hole and the lower is the outlet hole to the chiller reservoir, dont get it mixed up as the temp. probe is located inside the upper hole. If you reverse it, the chiller temp. will be lower than your tank temp. by at least 2-3 degrees.

u should thrust a thermometer in the tank ... they are the most accurate get 2 if in doubt ... the temperature on the chiller can never be trusted .. that is y a chiller temperature can be tuned/set to match the tank temperature ...

when using a chiller u want cool water in the TANK and not just cool water in the chiller ..

u check the temperature of your tank using your finger?so u are saying your finger is more accurate than a thermometer ....

Hello,

We have modify about 5 of this chiller last week and found that we need to change the: Digital Control Panel, thermostate (must be correct size and type), capacitor)

Now chiller been runing 20mins and idle about 45mins (26 to 27C) for a 420Liter tank.
