cleaner shrimp and clams

is a clam safe when housed with a cleaner shrimp. heard they will eat clams or bugg them at some time or another any thoughts anyone? or advise?

cleaner shrimps wouldn't eat your clams. they will usually clean it when u 1st intro the clams to ur tank. tis also happen when i bot new fishes. after a while, the cleaner will seldom bother ur clams.

i have heard horror storeies there they will agitate and mite even tear off bits of the clam mantles. anyone encounted this b4?

No my cleaners don't bother my clams

cleaners dun bother my clams.. they do clean it when it's first introduced though... However I sometimes see small portions of my clams' mantle bitten off... These usually grow back in a week or so... Dun think it's the shrimps that did it though.. probably some crab or something..

I don't see how when the cleaner is the same size as the six line.. i have both and so far they have never had any interest in one another before...
