Sump design

Most of the design for sumo i notice that there the refrugium is in the center..... and if placed in the center, not much option for lighting

most lighting comes in standard size

and most sump/tank or diy tank into sump also come in quite standard size

so come out with this design to accomodate the lighting

please comment

maxmise the use of the whole length of the sump tank..

got enough place to place the skimmer in?????

or skimmer is out sump?

oh i was thinking of 2ft aspect.....

mostly 2ft uses only outside tank skimmer or those of smaller size like weipro that kind

so mostly likely is able to fit it....

if you are talking about the in sump skimmer think on those 2ft width might be possible for this design

Nice way of letting the water circle in a circular pattern rather than linear....

just sidetrack a bit: look at my sump design, also quite different

i think i read somewhere that letting the water flow to the refrugium first without skimming it off isnt a very good idea

where would the skimmer ideally be placed? Before the refugium? Also if there is dsb, the skimmer should be placed before it too? Sorry Blue heaven for hijacking your thread. Trying to learn more.
