Skimmer not foaming after wash

Just washed my skimmer as the pump started making noise. I guess it was too dirty. Right after my wash, there's zero bubbles or foaming. Water got into the outlet, I'm not sure if it's the air outlet. This is a coral box skimmer. Any experts out there to advice. Thank you
