SRC Member Ranz Posted June 28, 2017 SRC Member Share Posted June 28, 2017 if you have an egg crate between the water and the light then it will block much of the light. not recommended
SRC Member Suman Posted June 29, 2017 SRC Member Share Posted June 29, 2017 Recommended to have glass or clear acrylic... Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
SRC Supporter SubzeroLT Posted June 29, 2017 SRC Supporter Share Posted June 29, 2017 You can DIY one with fine netting & aluminum profile. My previous tank was braceless & you just need to make the size the aluminum profileto sit on the edges. Aluminum profile - get from prestech.com.sg Netting - Can get the thicker clear type from https://aquariumoverload.com/pages/clear-mesh-aquarium-tops Alternatively, the type i'm using is a very fine black one which i think works better than a thick clear type. I have some spare to that I can sell. Can PM me if keen. 1 Quote Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/mysliceofnature/
xeneryx
I'm thinking of arcylic. But how should I design the hood so that I can hold the arcylic and the light
