Any recommendations for chaeto lights?

Hi all,

Anyone know where I can get a good chaeto light? Planning to have a good amount. 4 to 5 fist size. Any place I can get it from or any online store?

The red tanning lights are in the UV spectrum. 

The red that cheato & other algae prefer for photosynthesis is a different wavelength.

As mentioned above, not  suitable.

Just curious pardon my ignorance, if they are in the UV spectrum why are they called red tanning lights? Is it because it brings out the red in the fish but the light is actually blue?

u can purchase any lights that is ideal for those planted tanks, would be suitable for the growth of chaeto, they are not very demanding

I using cheap small leds light, white + blue. They have not turn transparent.    

I think most important is don't let dirt or bad algae cover the chaeto.

I use PAR20 daylight LED from the lighting shop. $12 each. You will need a lampholder with a clamp.

I bought a lampholder c/w the led lamp from one of the shops in Clementi block 328. I think the shop name is LFS.

I use Dymax astro light for the clamp and Par38 Grow led.
