i never knew about this thread. but its a really nice DIY thats worth bringing back up.

If a man could beat his own fantasy. Then to only breed in captivity. Then its pointless.

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

i've treid it by adding a a T-off from the last elbow it'll reduce the bubble alot but there'll still have when it come the the end of the flow as water gush out of the outlet

As stated it can reduce bubble but not eliminate micro bubble

that pic is actually from another thread to get rid of micro bubbles from a beckket skimmer.... the "output" of the wavemaker is the so called "U" yube.. the larger outer pipes liek some sort of settling chamber....for the bubbles to escape before exiting from a smaller pipe

This is a simple excellent idea to solve those who want a surge in their tank. Instead of having to buy expensive programmable pumps, this is a classic purely mechanical way to solve the problem. If you want to vary the frequency of the surge, then just have one compartment bigger than the other, or even have 3 different compartment, then the waves/frequency will be different. I think if we do this the height of water in this tank has to be carefully planned as if the compartments dump water at the time, the level of the water will suddenly go up way high and cause a flood.
