will try my luck again in puple acros.......mine turn brown n still the same color after a few mths lioa.....

yup, they can be tough, bought one frag from danano, seemsto be colouring up slowly, like yours his frag's tip and side turning purple too just have to be patient lor...bo bian

my LPS all recovering ...replaced a chiller and running the temp ard 26 now, used to be 29 degrees

i'm just about to say that..... your elegant seems to be very happy in your tank... I always wanted to get an elegant but there are a lot of plp told me that elegant is very hard to keep..... izzit true?

Elegance coral is very tough to keep....only a few reefers managed to keep them more than a year.....esp the bright green ones...some even die in weeks...

I have yet to have an elegance coral that lasted for more than half a year...so keeping fingers crossed....this one is nearly 3 weeks liaoz..doing OK...

Normally, elegance corals are not handled well enough upon collection and shipping, that is one of the reasons why they dun last long...

when you buy them, do also take note that you dun lift them out of water when they are fully expanded....in fact ....I noticed a lot of reefers lifting up torch, hammer, fox corals out of water when they are fully extended...you should gently shake the coral a bit to let it 'retract' first before lifting it out during your purchase Hope that helps....

The one on top is a white xenia (fully white)($20)

the lower one has a white body (a little green tint) but dark lining at the polyps ($5)

I left sometime ard six...took 2 colonies and quickly go....the longer I stay, the more I will try to buy....I will be patient and wait for the staghorns later in a week or 2 .... now must recoupfrom all the $$$ spent in the last 2 days

Is the water not clear or the lens not clear? Is there a lot of particles inside the water?
