Does polyfilter remove trace elements?

at first i read that polyfilter does not remove trace elements.

now i see on the back of the packaging, u nid to remove the filter b4 adding trace elements into ur tank. 4 days later u can put it back...does anyone using polyfilter practice this step?

Polyfilter does selectively remove certain trace elements. Basically in its raw form it will absorb all trace element but the manufacturer dipped those pads meant for marine use in a trace element solution so that it becomes saturated and won't pick up those trace elements. The problem is that not all trace elements are covered. Generally, I won't be too worried.

hi Guys,

abt the polyfilter thing... does it effect only the trace elements ? what abt other addatives ? when you dose kalk-calcium/iodide/magnesium/KH... or if you have a Calcium Reactor.. does the polyfilter absorbs it then ?

what is your best practise ?
