End of week 6 ( getting more and more ambitions)

brought 4 new tangs (Bristle Tang/Clown Tang/Yellow Tang/Kole Tang) and started Quarantine them in my QT since last week.

And went to further add in 2 more anemones to the tank. The tank currently has 6 anemones ( 2 Green bubble tip Anemones / 2 Long Tenticle Anemones and 2 Purple tip anemones)

And one more thing.. Got a hugh sail fin Tang from a fellow reefer yesterday.

End up decide to place the sailfin Tang straight into the DT after accrimating. Since all the other 4 tangs are doing well and eating in the QT for one week. Decided to transfer them to the DT together with the Sailfin Tang so that they can mix together.

Added one additional AI Hydra 26 HD (won the prize from the AI contest) to my main DT. Thank to Reef Depot as the Sponser and SRC for organising the contest.

And also thanks to all the LFS that voted for me to win the special prize :) Really appreciate it very much.

Does your anenome stay where you placed them or they move around?

only one or two tend to move. the rest stays.. especially the rbta and one bubble tip keeps moving..

Oh. My 1 and only rbta is forever on the run. Dont know what to do about it.

they dont like too much lights and they like to be in a hole spot that sits in so they can hide. so far after placing in less light and a hole like position it kinda settle in..

Oh. How much current is too much current?..

it will depends on the type and model of wavemaker and return pump position to determine how big or how small the current. for my two return pump. the dcs 7000 and M1 i am running at 30% power only. for my gyre 250x wavemaker x 2... i am running at -20% (reversed) for both.. so far that is consider strong for my corals, anemones and fishes on my 422 setup.

It has been a hell week... My biggest Green bubble tip anemone went to commit suicide and half went into the gyre wavemaker. It wipe out 60% of my fishes... SAD.... and the eel which is on my refugium tried to escape and squeeze through the eggcrate i placed to prevent it from going over to the return pump compartment. I think it because the anemone release some kind of toxic and cause stress to the eel. He went into the return pump compartment and his tail got suck into the M1 pump (OUCH), although not much went in but he did not make it due to the injury........... worst my Pink long tentacle Anemone also did the same thing.. one went to the right and one went to the left wavemaker..... but for the pink anemone.. it was ok.. it just holding on to it.. all its tentacle has retract back to its body.

I removed all the remaining fishes and place them in my QT. Hope they are alright, although some of them did not make it as well. Currently the balance fishes are the sailfin tang, bristletooth tang, 2 yellow wrasses, 1 white goby, 1 green goby and 3 green chromis.

All my 8 clownfish (4 orange and 4 black) perish as well as my Powder Black Tang, Powder Brown Tang, Blue Tang, Yellow Tang, Kole Tang, Clown Tang, 1 white goby, 1 green goby, 2 pink queen anthias, 2 blue goby, 3 doctor wrasse, 3 green chromis and my Black ribbon eel....

All the invertebrate were not affected at all by the anemone suicide act..
