SRC Member daveyy Posted January 1, 2017 SRC Member Share Posted January 1, 2017 Got my new led lightings: aquanice (a jap brand I think) led for refugium. 2x white AI hydra 52 HD for dt. The reason I went for white was to minimise heat absorption. Now waiting for my rails to come also bought a few more accessories - accudrip for easy acclimation, and a siphon Nice light! Does it grow chaeto well? How much did u pay for this light?

The live rock section is actually my refugium hahaha. Not really sure what to do with it. Will consider selling/giving the rocks, then make it a full chaeto refugium
Blueberry22
Bought these 2 to try out. Not sure how long the filter will last. The salifert additive seems to have all the necessary elements for nsw, so trying out an easier method will have to add the specific elements to reach the specific levels needed of course

Not sure how to get rid of it. It dies down when I turn off the lights, but my skimmer is always on

It is still working, but not able to grow chaeto I think the chaeto got stuck under the live rock in my refugium then somehow died. or maybe the light is just not good? Wanted to get more chaeto to test out after moving my LR to DT. but these few months just too busy
Blueberry22
Hi all, does anybody know if coraline algae on the glass can be scraped off using the magnetic floating scraper with metal tip? Don't have it, so I'm asking before making the wrong choice.
SRC Supporter SubzeroLT Posted April 14, 2018 SRC Supporter Share Posted April 14, 2018 I'm using the DD magnetic glass cleaner. The metal blade is very effective for coralline. Quote Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/mysliceofnature/
