How to setup JEBO canister filter

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My brother bought a JEBO Canister filter yesterday and I tried to help him set it up. After fixing it up, the filter was not working, i.e no water suction. There was however a `noise' coming from the canister. Any tips?

Thanx.

does the jebo cannister hv a priming system, if not u hv gotta suck the water. :o

the noise coming from the cannister is from the pump. as the pump is not drawing water, thus the noise.

We opened up the canister and filled it up with water. There is a weter level in the canister filter. Is there anywhere in particular that I need to fill up?

1) stop the pump

2) fill the canister with water

3) fill the water input hose till full

4) fill the water output hose till it full

5) start pump it should work, if not

Do step 1 - 4 then

5) hold the output hose so as water will no escape

6) get a pail and position the output hose downward (siphon effect)

7) start pump and let go the output hose, water will pump

8) stop pump and do step 5)

9) place your output hose to your tank, start pump :P
