My Harlequin died due to molting ?

Hi,

i had a pair of harlequin shrimps tats with me for few months now, this morning i found 1 dead at the sandbed and a saw a empty shell tat shows it had just molted.

Does bad molting kills ? Or could it be , i was plucking some small rock anemone (about 20 per rock, purple n green centre , some r green) from LR all over the tank....

I think your shrimp'sh is by predation rather than moulting. Shrimps don't die from moulting per se; but a deficiency in calcium could cause their new exo-skeleton to not develop properly during and this could probably lead to death.

couples of times i saw 1 whole pc of shell on sandbed.. but then that fellow didn't die..

Really.. I do dose very little sometimes, about 0.5ml for my 4ft. knowing that it kills if overdose.

u don't need to worry abt dosing iodine if u do regular water changes...
