Here is another side of my tank; 3 display sides.

I scaped it in such a way that got lots of crevices and in-between rock spaces for fish to swim in and out and hide;
Also can fit some corals on top and and the sides.

A quick check, if anyone can help;
To prevent back flow of water from the display side to the IOS when I switch off my pump;
Is it I need to drill a small hole on the pipe?
If so; the small hole can be anywhere below the water level?
Just above the top out opening?

Thanks.

What a swee tank u have! Clean n neat! Yes, a small hole below water level will do. Why would u worry abt back flow since it is a IOS?

The water sure will flow from DT to ios or vise versa regardless pump on or off. What is your concern?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I find that, when my water level is not high; when pump is running; it is fine;

When I off the pump; much water from DT goes back to the IOS area; so my DT water level goes down abit.
I hope to stop this from happening; by drilling a small hole on the outflow pipe.

However, since now my water level is high; and my auto-top up is ready and running; this will not really happen.

I have set up the Tunze auto-top up :P

Yes but still not sure why you worry about DT level drop a bit when pump is off. There won't be any flooding what? But from my experience if your pump compartment is large and the water level is high then you have to be careful. You have to make sure you filter wool is cleaned/changed regularly because when it is clogged the flow through it will be reduced this can result in your DT overflowing.

No, not worried about flooding; previously, when water level is low at IOS side; (When I just filled up the tank)
when I switched off my pump; back flow occurred from DT to IOS; this makes my DT water level down;
And I do not want my DT water level to be down.
This will not happen anymore; since I fill up more water.

I do not have filter wool; so clogging will not happened.
