Coral Beauty

Hi,

Thought of buying a coral beauty but was concern about it being reef safe. Read some info on web but would like to have first hand info from members of SRC.

Neber have problem with other corals when frame is around, except Clams

so far 3 for Coral Beauty and 2 against. I'm confused.

Maybe just like human being, there are many different behaviour but still known as human being.

it's all down to luck when buying the fish. Some yes, some no.

What I see from the result above: If you are not keeping clams, worth the bet, if clams is in your list, think twice

I have been advised that Coral Beauty can be aggressive and should be introduced last.

But am just wondering what is the likelihood of it fighting with a resident Flame Angel?

Hi Rumor,

My flame was introduced after my coral beauty. The first 2 days, flame really kana tekan badly, after that, flame fight back and now seems o.k. liao. So, decide for yourself and good luck

I'm likely to have them both in my tank, just whiling my time and let my tank mature. Flame Beauty does require a more mature environment anyway.

But, it may be prudent to introduce the Coral Beauty last so some planning and lead time should be provisioned for for better synergism.

This may or may not be the best way, but I'd take the careful approach or it'll be like in the Bible; Angels warring and wonder how'll be thrown down....

With pygmy angels, you take a chance lah. Had flames that were generally ok but disturbed clams once in a while. My golden angel is continuing to makan my corals.

Ya, saw Goldies once, didn't buy since I hear they eat almomst exclsively sponges.

I had majestic, flame, coral beauty, blue lip, blue face with my coral and clams, the angels never disturb my corals and clam. But they will eat sponge.

My cleaner shrimp will disturb my clam..

I had kept 3 coral beauties till now. Never have any problem with them. Actually I like them as they are helpful in grazing algae on glass & rocks. Maybe u shd stgart with small ones.
