SRC Member C.ZhengXi Posted October 6, 2016 SRC Member Share Posted October 6, 2016 Hello fellow reefers, my first tank thread after a few years of reefing. Had a few nano tank set up and a 322 mix reef from 2012 - current. My old 322 mix reef tank 2015- growth over a 10months 322 - Decommed since august 2016 Temporary holding area for 1month! with just a chiller ! Following on... The new tank arrives ! Front panel crystal glass! - My new Tank now made by Aquarium Artist. is an IOS tank. Dimensions roughly 2.5x2.5x1.5. I will be following on with what i did with the 322 reef tank such as manual dosing of additives instead of auto dose, running of Rowaphos/Biopellets and ofcourse skimmer. I did a downgrade due to time constraints, but overall lesser volume of water only haha. Water change easier. Cycled with NSW for around a week with old media only and the New tank started officially on 28 september 2016 where i moved all livestocks over! Equipment list for new tank - - Hydra 26 HD for lighting - Skimmer Bubble Magus C3.5 - 2 TLF reactors -1/4 chiller hailea - Eheim compact 2000 Return Pump. And here's the start of my first Tank thread! on 6 October 2016! Enjoy the latest FTS and top shots of my Rainbow reef tank ! Thankyou for viewing! Was looking at Nyos 120 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk if u have the space to make for a nyos 120 go ahead! that skimmer is even better for at 3'tank! but if wan to use minimal space for IOS. the BM C3.5 does the job too! it really also pulls out gunk thats why i went for it. Economical and efficient is BM . Have deep pocket = nyos hahahaha . But i just checked nyos footprint is about 3-4cm wider . therefore ur IOS shld be atleast have 16cm width to hold a nyos 120 with Dimensions (LxWxH): 15 x 21 x 46.5 cm , while BM C3.5 is much smaller where my ios width is only 12cm width considering IOS we want to use as little space within the tank. I used the BM C3.5 as it has the smallest foot print and ability to skim 300+ litres and is skimming gooooood Quote Make sure to give a like/follow for Facebook & Instagram !
