SRC Member Mike Stone Posted September 19, 2016 SRC Member Share Posted September 19, 2016 Finally took my first step into SPS, more frag to get this weekend for various type of BN, Digi, Monti and Green Slimmer. Using a 12g tank to do it as I can change water more often with it. My 40g tank will use to keep softies, LPS and fishes. 12g Tank condition Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 5ppm PO4 0.05ppm PH 8.2 Salinity 1.025 Yet to check Alkalinity. Dosing carbon daily to bring down nutrients first. Hope this works, and I dare to further venture to convert 40g tank to SPS tank. SRC Member Mike Stone Posted September 21, 2016 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 21, 2016 The Majestic Angel is slowly moving around the tank nipping at rocks, still quite shy at the moment. My favourite baby Singapore Angel already 2 weeks in tank, busy nipping on any rock.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Admiraltian
Ok, I see. If it's showing signs of recovery I would leave it, else trimming off the affected part does aid in faster recovery. This is becos the dead part might be cover by nuisance algae growth soon and "disturb" the healthy portion of the sps. SRC Member Mike Stone Posted September 28, 2016 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 28, 2016 The funny thing is within one frag, it is one side green and one side white. Admiraltian
The side with less light exposed to it will hv paler dull colors. U must see for ur self if it's dying or juz due to that. SRC Member Mike Stone Posted October 1, 2016 Author SRC Member Share Posted October 1, 2016 I move the Capitata lower from expert advice, and at the same time try to pair up two flame angels!! :-)The smaller flame is still afraid of the bigger one, but luckily they did not fight. Feeling positive to have them paired.https://vimeo.com/185119161Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SRC Member Mike Stone Posted October 1, 2016 Author SRC Member Share Posted October 1, 2016 Another caption of the flame Angels after 6 hours together. They are completely at ease with each other at times and sometimes play naughty. If this way goes on for few days, I will completely at ease. SRC Member Mike Stone Posted October 4, 2016 Author SRC Member Share Posted October 4, 2016 Thanks, I was just lucky enough to have 2 flame angels not fighting in the same tank. It's 5th day for the duo and no visible sign of fighting or injury, but they occasionally chase each other. Even the smaller one sometimes chase the big guy. Looks damn funny.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SRC Member Mike Stone Posted October 16, 2016 Author SRC Member Share Posted October 16, 2016 Already 2 weeks passed and the 2 flame angels are still peacefully co-exist, hehe. So far I see the smaller one under some stress trying to avoid the bigger flame, but no fighting or bullying occurs. The black clown looks like referee to me, lolz.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SRC Member Komerider Posted October 16, 2016 SRC Member Share Posted October 16, 2016 Won't the flame angels peck at the sps? My relatives one did. We suspect it's the cause of the stress on sps causing them not to last. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
