Still find my tank too noisy due to the downflow pipe in sump too short.. Having the splashing sound.. Did a small mode to reduce the sound by 95%.

This extended pipe will do the trick. As now the pipe is only 1" above the water lvl.

Hi Edmund,

Just realised u don't hv an emergency down pipe to your sump, that can be quite dangerous. My suggestion is that you fully open the down pipe valve and use a bigger capacity DC return pump, play with the power of the return pump to match the down flow to minimise noise.
My suggestion is not to semi-close your down pipe using the valve, you can get flooding easily without emergency down pipe.
Just my suggestion.

Actually if you haven't start putting coral or fishes, it may be a good idea to add the emergency down pipe now, you will treasure its presence.
Can ask Vincent of AA to drill the hole for you, and you DIY the rest.

No space in the overflow box liao.. I read up and google, as long as it durso chances of flooding is low.. Coz its not full siphon..

Initial plan is to get a external skimmer. But due to footprint too big to fit in sump nor cabinet, gonna source for new skimmer. Narrow down to BM or Aquapharm. Due to AM have yr end sale and have 25% for Aquapharm product, i go for it.. Wanted to get a AP900 but end up buying AP1200 due to out of stock.. $299 after discount $225..

This skimmer with small footprint but high capacity.. Let see how good it is as say in the web..
