Finally back to reef after i decomm my 422.. As a family man, 1st obstacle to reef is permit from ur minister of home affair. I finally got thru and hold the permit in hand.. 1 stage cleared.

Recap abit, 1st tank was a 40cm cube IOS then upgraded to a 422. More details can search around for my old thread.

Back to topic. Choosing between 3x1.8x1.8 IOS or a 322 with sump.. Final decision go to 322 with sump as I got it free from a reef from another forum. Good gesture.

Called up 3 mover to get quote and finally decided to hire TMAS (Tank Mover Aquatic Services) from the usually mover i always hire. The service is good and they will go the extra miles to make life easier for u.

Tank arrived!

Setting up.. The previous owner cleaned up the tank that save me alot alot of trouble.

Done!

Current Equipment list:

1) 322 with sump (normal 12mmglass)

2) Ehiem 1260 return pump ( Free with tank)

3) 3ft T5 (Free with tank)

Plan list:

1) Maxspect Razor Led

2) Jecod Crossflow

3) Durso Piping

4) Jebao 9000 return pump

5) BM C7 skimmer

6) ATO

7) 2x Fan

Going for soft and afew lps will do.. Keep it simple this time.. Not alot of time.. Need work, study and have time with son and wife.. No chiller unless i could get the deal the guy giving away in the forum..

Alot more works to get it done before topping up water.. Piping, light stand, change door hinges, re-wrapped tge cabinet, modify sump abit..

Some shopping done.. Now is wait for it to deliver..

1) PVC wallpaper for cabinet
2) Jebao DC pump
3) Salifert Test kits ( Ca, Mg, KH, Po4, No3, No2, Nh4)
4) BM filter socks
5) Ato

Things need to get it done the next few days:
1) Buy and replace door hinges
2) Buy piping to improve overflow
3) Redo the sperator panel for sump to make more space for skimmer

Tentative date for water to go in and cycle is 7 Oct if i can get the stuffs ready..

Due to busy work schedules, plan delay abit.. Busying visiting hardware shop to mix and match connector for modifications of piping.



With the help of my wife, the sump out for final washing before DIY modifications.



Toilet closed for maintenance work. Hehehe..

Updates:

Sump completed final wash with the help of P1500 fine sand paper. Less effort.. Hehehehe..



Remove 3 panels and relocation as to make the centre compartment bigger to fit equipments. FYI, this sump is for FW.
Now it time to measure and mark up the new location of the 3 panels.


Wallpaper arrived after 3 long wks of wait.

Test out the paper.. Thin and easy to stick.

Done 50%. Damn run out of paper.. Gonna order more.. Another few weeks of wait again..
