Hi i'm starting a 3ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft, previous thread was not very active so im starting a new one.

Did not have a proper lighting yet.

Started cycling on 1/9/16. Test done on 10/9/16

After 2 weeks ammonia gone to 0, nitrite almost 0 or probably 0, nitrate 12.

Tank Equipments 

•TANK- 3×1.5x1.5

•PUMP- DD H2Ocean 2000L and 3000L

•WAVE MAKER- 1 x RW4

•CHILLER- Hailea

•REACTOR- Reeflive BR60 filled with AIO

•MEDIA- 1×Marine Pure Block, 4 bags of bio rings.

•FILTRATION- Filter Wool used JBL, now mika but not effective. And jap mat.

Just my 2 cents.
Notice your rocks are sitting on top of your sand. If you keep fishes that "drill" into the sand, your rock work may fall. Normally we place the rock on the tank and then sand around them. Worth consider to do so.

Ohh ok @jyoon thanks for the heads up. Actually not really that much as the shifted the sand a little, the sand its kinda shallow just about 1cm. Anyway thanks again.

Was using this method back when keeping shrimp, either life from ntuc or redmart bottled for water change.

Managed to get a carbon/di system from a reefer here to work together with my residential filtered system. Hopes this will be a better choice than buying bottled water.

Np aio bio pellet should be gfo mix.

Investing in a proper ro unit is definitely better over the long term, no need carry carton of water anymore lol

Hahaha... used to do that but redmart did free delivery. For now already had carbon and di unit that combines with my 4-stage filteration. Tested last night and able to get 0 tds.

3 x 1.5 x 1.5 is my favourite size for a tank.  I have had a 6 foot tank, a 5 foot tank and a 4 foot tank - all of them difficult to manage.  Your tank will be perfect for water changes.  It would only take me three standard buckets of water per change.  The rocks are easy to reach too.  Life got even easier when I switched to a single piece of ceramic rock.
