Angels... in your SPS reef?

You must be mad! :P

Angels are NOT reefsafe and statistics have proven it.

I value my clams, my 'pratas', LPS and SPS corals... no way I'm gonna take the risk!

Hmm tried passer, rock beauty, maculosus and emperor in a mixed reef and nothing happen.... Like they always say... a reef is not complete without an angel :lol::lol::lol: But now i am still looking for cortez angel which i doubt will ever arrive

Think quite a couple of us had flame angels in our sps tank and so far so gd. Hmm... or r they naughty only when lights off :rolleyes:

Even the guy with the 20ft coral tank has quite a few Angels in there.

This rapid growth is also applicable to the many specimens of Angel fish hosted in this aquarium. A few mated pairs even formed: Pomacanthus imperator, Centropyge loriculus, and Apolemychtis xanthopunctatus. Some of them tend to feed off corals a little bit, but they rarely attack the same colony, so damage is not permanent.

But i think for the sake of kiasuism and the fact that many enthusiast spends thousands on their set up.... maybe better to be safe than sorry.....

I kept one blue lip angel with my LPS, Softies and Clam before, at first it nip at my clam and after 1 wk he tired and start to ignore even i introduce new clam inside, but not with anemones, will nip till it died.

hey, how bout bicolour angel? think they are ok also...me kept one in my tank, mainly LPS and softies, but nothing happen, only nip at my rocks, then again, maybe i am jus super lucky... then today, when it was pecking on the rocks, kena stuck and now its disappeared, think it was injured, had to free it from the rock... think gone liao, and it was my favourite fish... :cry: haiz... so sad....
