Drip Valves for Calcium Reactors

Bought some drip valves from Germany that is made by the brand Gardenia. The new features of this valve is that it has clips on both side of the noozle for holding on hose and prevent leaks. Very innovative design and for size 4.6mm or 3/16" which is just nice for calcium reactor applications.

yeah...came as *standard fitting* for the calcium reactor

pic abit blur cannot see the gardena....but dun have the hold on clip for hose ends..i cable tie myself....hehe

This new version is an improved version of the old one because they have incorporated clips to hold the hose in place. Guess their customers must have complaint that water often leak out of the hose ends. Have seen the old version used in DIY calcium reactors and often leaks. Hope this new version helps.

eh...din know it will leak...

but i cable tied / hose clipped everything that is not secured in my piping/hose system....

maybe coz i cable tied it right from the start...tat's why no complaints so far....

but this new model with clips definitely more convenient..

Actually I have seen OEM versions available in Petmart for only $1.50 each.

But it leaks. Its probably the cheapo version.

These valves are indeed used originally for irrigation drip purposes. Or hydroponics.
